Why am I being routed through sun when there's a shadier nearby street?
Shade IQ trades off route length against shade — if a much shadier route is
significantly longer, we'll suggest the shorter one. You can switch between
Shadiest, Balanced, and Fastest in the route options.
Does Shade IQ work after sunset?
Yes — when the sun is low or below the horizon, the route colors shift to a
twilight palette and shade weighting drops off naturally.
Which cities are supported?
The full Bay Area and Greater Los Angeles. We're expanding gradually as
shadow data is computed for new regions.
Subscription & billing
Shade IQ Pro is billed through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel anytime from
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or from the
Manage subscription button inside the app.
